Prior to NWEA, she was the research manager of product development and advanced analytics at DreamBox Learning, a gamified online learning platform for primary and secondary students in math and reading. She has a PhD in education (with a focus on quantitative research methods) from UCSB and has applied methodologies ranging from causal inference, psychometrics, as well as predictive and classification (ML) modeling in her work.
